To change your member icon use the Browse tab to find the picture on your computer you want to use. For best results this picture should be no more than 200 x 200 pixels. Once you have chosen your file, click the 'Upload Picture' button. |

  |
Upload Artwork |
| Please note only members may upload content to ArtsWe. For help on becoming a member see above. |
To begin your upload, click UPLOAD on the blue menu bar. This will open up the Upload Artwork form. |
Using the Browse tab on the form, find the source of the file you want to upload. We are strongly recommending that the source file for .jpg file uploads be no less than 50 kb, and preferably no larger than 1500 kb (1.5 meg). Details of the Art will not show up well for uploads of less than 50 kb. Likewise if the upload is too large, it will be resized to fit the intermediate viewing panel. |
Next, enter a Title for your artwork in the Title space, and write a description of the artwork in the Description space. We strongly suggest that you give every Artwork a title. Having no title suggests that you don't know what to call your own artwork! |
If you expect to be placing the artwork "For Sale", a sufficiently substantial description should be written, such that the Buyer will have an accurate knowledge of what they are buying. Place yourself in the Buyer's shoes, and that will help guide you in the description you write. |
Next enter one or more single word Tags in the Tags space. Tags should be descriptive of or related to the artwork. For example, flowers in a rural scene might have the tags 'flowers', 'remote', and 'country'. You can use your imagination in assigning tags. |
Choose one or more categories, this will make your Artwork easy to find when people search ArtsWe. |
Enter the name of the artswork's original artist, this is optional. Enter a link to the original artist's website or gallery, this is also optional. If you want to prevent your full size artwork from being downloaded check the Lock Downloads box. |
Click on the 'Submit' button to start the upload. This may take a few minutes depending on the size of the file and your internet connection speed. |
On the next page your artwork will appear along with a chart of colors that will enable you to choose whatever background color to be used with your art in the public areas. |
Your artwork will now be availible for display. |

List Artwork for Sale |
| After a Member becomes a registered Seller, they will be ready to begin selling items. To initiate the Sell process, click the Sell link on the left side of the intermediate viewing page of the Content item to be sold. The Member will be guided to the Store, where an image of the item being sold will appear. The Seller will be guided through an item-specific Listing for sale procedure. |
| The purpose of having an item-specific listing procedure for each sale, is to supply sufficient specific information about the Content item being offered for sale, so that prospective Buyers will accurately know in detail: 1) What they are buying; and 2) What costs they will incur in buying the Item. |
| In listing a Content item for sale, the Seller should provide, as a minimum, the following information: |
| 1. Description of the Content item, condition, attributes, selling points, etc, such that the buyer clearly understands what they are buying. |
| 2. Unit Price for the item. WebsWe encourages Sellers to set prices near the lowest firm price they are willing accept, to enhance the likelihood of a sale. |
| 3. Quantity. If more than one item is for sale, indicate the number of identical items available for sale. or each sale concluded, the quantity will be adjusted to show the new actual quantity left for sale. |
| 4. Shipping and handling charges, and method(s) of shipping. The charges must reflect the actual secure packaging and shipping costs required. We also strongly recommend including insuring shipments. Shipping and handling costs will normally determined by the seller and disclosed to the buyer before shipment, but be paid for by the buyer, unless the seller has a policy otherwise. Shipping and handling charges will be closely monitored by WebsWe for indications of abuse. |
